Long or Short

Victor recently received a haircut. But now I am thinking I should have left it long (but trimmed)... What do you guys think?

Feliz Dia de las Madres

Who would have thought that I would be so in love? Love, love love. I feel it. And it is all because of my precious gift, Victor. Being his mama is the most rewarding gift that God has given to me. Sure I had my doubts in the beginning. I was scared, unsure, and still several times a day I feel that way. But just one smile, just one look from my little silly and a sense of calmness comes over me. This is truly the best job that I have ever had! It just keeps getting better and better. Sure Victor now thinks that he is a two year old, throws himself on the ground when he doesn't get what he wants, yells out a string of "No's" just because he can, and runs away from me when he thinks I'm going to change his diaper, but it is all really quite amusing! I have never laughed so much in my life! He also gives his mama kisses and hugs on a whim, bursts out in dance moves you have never witnessed in your life, and loves all the "Coco's" that he has. My worst day being a mom, does not compare to my best day as a social worker, not even close! All I can do is thank God for giving me what I never knew that I wanted! I can only pray that I continue to have the patience and wisdom to be a loving mother. Victor deserves only the best!

I hope you all have a wonderful mother's day! Don't forget to tell your mom's how much you love them!!

Here is my favorite prayer that helps me keep going!

Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi

Lord, make me an instruent of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is discord, union;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is dispair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
Where there is sadness, joy.

Grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console
to be understood as to understand
to be loved as to love.

For it is in giving that I receive;
it is in pardoning that I am pardoned;
and it is in dying that I am born to eternal life.

Andrew Pictures

Andrew was baptized this past weekend! I was selected to be his Godmother! So I left Victor at home with his dad and traveled to Texas with my mom and dad. I think my mom's name is on the Do not fly list, because she kept being selected for random checks and people had to see her ID wherever we went in the airport!!
We still managed to have a good time, ate lots of food, and I got to play with Andrew!! Andrew is a sweet little boy. He is definitely laid back!

Click here: http://www.meettheallens.org/AndrewBaptism/ to see the pictures I took of Andrew's baptism. I am going to try to get more to post, but for now here are a few!

As soon as I can track down some pictures of Victor, I will post them up...I hear he didn't even miss me! He was having an Allen of a good time!!! Partying it up, swimming, dancing to the band, playing with Coco and "Ada" and "Ma". I hear that Tia Lisa was promoted to "Ma" status! By the way, Congrats to Lisa for graduating from Law school!! We are all quite proud!!

We all seemed to have a good time...Next time it will hopefully be all together! But thank God we made it home safely!!

Here we all are in front of Leti's house (Chris is behind the camera!)
