Christmas: A time for family

Here are some pics from Christmas Eve and Christmas day!  What better way to spend the days than with family.  Aunt Debbie cooked up a great meal on Christmas Eve.  It was Ma's turn on Christmas day.  She made a wonderful spread!

Merry Christmas: A time to reflect

Merry Christmas everyone!!  We hope that you all enjoy your Christmas time.  Take the time to slow down, relax, enjoy the moments!  We will be doing the same!

Leti, Chris, Andrew, Tio Lalo,  we are thinking about you and pretending you are here!!  I will be having some cheesecake and hot chocolate in  your honour!  :)

Thank you all for the wonderful friendship and company you have provided us with this year.  

We are truly appreciative of you all.  We have formed some great new friendships and have met some wonderful new people this year.  We have also had to say "see you later" to others, and have lost touch with some.  

But we know this is life and we are so glad for the moments that were shared and look forward to future encounters!  

On Christmas day I always reflect back on the year.  I can definitely say that this has been such a great year for us.  I have truly tried to enjoy my boys and my time more.  In my quest for happiness, I think my new goal for next year will be to do things that make me (and thus my family) happy, rather than do the things that I think others think I should be doing.  That being said, if my laundry is not done or my floors are not clean, hopefully you will see some happiness radiating out of the Allen's!  If you don't remind me of my goal!!

ViaSat Christmas Party

Here we are at the annual Christmas Party at La Costa Resort. We had a fabulous time. Especially since it seemed my wine glass never got empty! Boy did I feel it the next day! But we had a fabulous time, ate, drank and danced.  And to top it off, we had MARVELOUS company to sit with at our dinner table!

Poor, poor Andrew.  Andrew thinks Jonas deserved it, and isn't sure why he was the one who got the time out!

Santa Claus is coming to town...

Victor and Jonas must have been really good kids this year. Why? Santa and Mrs. Claus came to our house! Of course I had to tell Victor that they were coming, that way he could be prepared. After Jonas heard Santa say "Ho Ho Ho", he greeted Santa with a "Hi Da"...Hmmm I wonder why he thought Santa was his Grandpa?
