Feliz Dia De Las Madres!

It's nice to have a day that we can celebrate motherhood.  Other than my birthday, this has become a day that I look forward to immensely!  I get to choose what I want to do, what I want to eat, don't have to change diapers, or cook...I still have to clean, but that's only because I can't stand seeing too much of a mess!

Tonight as I write this blog, rum and coke in hand (I know sophisticated!), Tom is making a potato salad.  Now I know he really loves me, because every few minutes he keeps bursting out, "I HAVE told you how much I dislike the smell of potatoes and eggs?"  But he keeps chopping and peeling, and I know it will be the best potato salad ever because he is doing it out of love!

So I hope that this Mother's Day, all you mother's out there, get a huge dose of love to remind you how much you are appreciated and adored.  It is only through becoming a mother, that I have realized how truly amazing this role of being a mother is.  It requires so much love, patience, and selflessness.  So much so, that sometimes I wonder how, and if, I am going to make it through the day.  But at the end of the day when I have made it, I realize how truly blessed I am to have been given two little souls to love and cherish. 

Tom, just handed me a plate of potato salad...YUUUUMMYYY, this potato salad is good!!  :)  Did I mention that Tom HATES potatoes and eggs??  :)  And now he is cleaning the kitchen, what a great husband I have!
