Maui 2009

Earlier this month we packed our bags and headed to Maui! The Hawaiian Islands had been calling my name all year long. So when our new "compadres" asked if we were interested in traveling together to Maui, I, of course, said "YES". I was hoping Tom wouldn't mind! :) Well, it seemed everything was working in our favor, price of tickets, availability, timing! Yea, the boys were going to go on their first airplane ride!

We baptized our new family member, Jeffrey Domingo, on Sunday, and headed out to Maui on Tuesday morning with our new family, the Domingo's! We traveled with 6 children and that is a whole blog on its own! Very interesting to see the reaction on the faces of people when they see you coming down a hallway with 6 children! The kids had a blast on the plane ride. Victor could not believe I was letting him eat so many treats!

We had a blast in Maui, we hung out at the beach, ate, ate and ate, visited the Maui Ocean Center, explored a little bit of Iao, saw old lava flows, and just plain had a great time! The Domingo's have been to Maui MANY times, so they were able to show us a lot of local places to eat and beaches to visit! It was great traveling with our new family and getting to know them better!

There was a gecko in our condo (this was not the one)...I was told they are good luck, but I'd rather not have to share my home with any animals!!

SNO CONES!! We found a sno cone machine in our condo and saved a lot of $$$!

At a local eatery off the highway, (Grace, Andy what was it called?!), where we ate red hot dogs, chili w/ cheese and onions over rice, and loco mocos!! YUMMY!

At the Maui Ocean Center, Victor smiled nicely for the pic and then went to time out! :) Yes, even in paradise time outs happen...

Pre-School Graduation

Victor has successfully passed his 1st year of pre-school! He has been given the green light to start kindergarten! WOW! Victor you are such a big boy now!! I can only hope he enjoys school as much as he enjoyed his pre-school! Thank you St. Mary Star of the Sea! The teachers and staff are wonderful there! Can't wait to have Jonas start! :) Here are some pics of Victor's celebration!
